The trampoline and exercise mat that we are requesting will replace very old ones that we have been using in our classroom for many, many years. The current ones are falling apart and becoming unsafe for students to use. The use of the trampoline and exercise mat have proven to be effective for my students throughout the years, and the benefits of using them have been confirmed in numerous research reports. Students with sensory processing issues use the equipment to feel centered and increase their body awareness. It helps students with attention concerns to improve their focus. Students with anger issues can use the exercise equipment to calm themselves and relax. It also helps students with gross motor concerns work on balance and muscle development. I have seen how effective the use of a daily exercise program can be for students who need a little extra support. Your donation will ensure that my students can continue to meet their sensory and movement needs in the school setting and increase their learning!
