These materials will help make a difference with my students because they will be excited about learning and be more focused on what they need to know. Learning centers are a big part of what we use for our students because we work in small groups so students are able to have more one on one time with the teacher and also be able to have independent learning.
This teaches them independence for when they are moving on to further their education. These materials are to help new kindergarten students coming to school for the first time learn how school works and how they can use many different manipulative to practice being able to know their letters and numbers. The diffuser will help keep students calm while working or if they need to take a break alone it can help them relax and be able to get back on track.
Students are just learning to write. A dry erase contact paper can go a long way and make it exciting to write with markers on a table and not just use pencil and paper all day long. Flash cards are a great way for students to practice numbers and letters and memorization when they look at a letter or number. We use flash cards a lot to practice letters and sounds.
We use area rugs and flexible seating for students who need something to do while learning. This helps some students focus better when they are not sitting in a regular chair all day. Just a change
