I am so excited to begin teaching 1st grade and welcome 24 students into my classroom. My students will spend hours a day in our classroom, so it is important that it is a welcoming environment where students feel safe to take risks and meet their full potential. A cozy rug for our read aloud library will encourage students to use this space and become avid readers. We will use our calendar daily to build key foundations for math for 1st graders. Sturdy folders will provide students with a place to keep their materials, and the prongs will allow me to easily insert resources tailored to each student. Book bags will be used so that students can take books to and from school and read daily at home. With your donation these first grade artists, mathematicians, authors, and community members will have the supplies they need to start the year off strong. Thank you for your support!
