Time spent looking at books and reading books in the Kindergarten classroom is precious. This is many of my students first exposure to literacy and when they have a classroom library they are so much more excited to explore the world of reading! The classroom library is used offer throughout the day to encourage my students to find comfort in finding a book they would like to look at independently and finding enjoyment in that. I have also selected social and emotional learning books for read aloud which will support lessons in emotional development that are crucial for their development.
