Chromebooks will allow my students to explore real world applications of math, and allow them to have first hand experience with applications used in STEM fields. It is so important to incorporate technology in the classroom, because our world today relies on technology and people who know how to use it. Introducing students to real world applications of math allows them to form connections, and see the value in what they are learning. When students are interested and engaged, they will learn more, and be more likely to reach their potential. With Chromebooks, my students will be able to use applications, such as Desmos and Scholastic Math, to enhance their learning and understanding. I would incorporate these activities into our daily routine. To prepare our students for the future, we need to provide them with the tools they will use in the real world, and we need to show them how to use the tools. Chromebooks in the classroom would allow me to do just that.
