Having tablets in my classroom will help my students close the gap in their learning due to COVID-19. Tablets are more engaging, versatile, and user-friendly than traditional computers. Which as you are aware, engaging 6-year olds is half the battle. :) My first graders will be able to manipulate letters, words, and numbers independently and with greater ease than with a Chromebook. I will also be able to download apps not available on Chromebooks to help struggling students in reading, writing, and math. This will allow me to help more students with the limited time I have with them.
