This book really changed how I saw history and global events that are happening today. I am hoping to create a problem-based learning lesson that will help students understand the current, and historical topics, of migration and refugees today. Students will follow the stories of individuals who lived during the Holocaust, Cuban Revolution, and the Syrian Civil War. We will have discussions on how this is impacting our future. I believe that more than ever, we are preparing our students to be a citizen in a global world, and I think that linking current events to historical elements will help bring change to our future citizens and leaders.
