My students have never performed in a legitimate auditorium before. We have finally found a venue, but the venue lacks important materials such as microphones and spotlights. These materials would make it possible for my students to sing/speak and be heard clearly by the audience. Many of these students have never sung in front of a crowd before, so their nerves might prevent them from singing over the music. Microphones can help strengthen the volume of their voice and their confidence at the same time. Spotlights can add an emotional depth to the production- setting the actor apart from the stage and highlighting a significant moment in the show.
