Children have a natural drive to play, explore, and engineer. These STEM bins full of magnetic blocks and other engineering toys will open endless possibilities for students to complete challenges by manipulating a variety of materials. I would love to give them the opportunity to stretch their creative and critical thinking by providing STEM bins. These STEM materials will also provide meaningful, hands-on, and open-ended work for students to use as they come into the classroom in the morning. Students can also use STEM bins when their regular classwork is complete. Instead of giving "busy" work, students will be engaged in creative, complex tasks and will be encouraged to think like inventors!
