Organization is a skill that can be used for a lifetime. With the right tools for organization, students will have no boundaries for learning. With the use of a numbered calculator caddy, students will automatically know that their desk number will correspond to the number of the calculator caddy. This will maximize (time on task/direct instruction). Also, that persistent question of "Do you have a pencil I can borrow?" will now have an answer of yes! In a math class, pencils are a crucial supply to get the work done. Every student will now be prepared for geometry class. In addition, highlighters go hand in hand with pencils in my class. During the lessons some words or phrases need to be remembered. The use of highlighters allows the students to focus on that information and on specific diagrams that helps with understanding vocabulary. Color helps my students visualize and retain the (formulas, diagrams, vocabulary, steps etc.)
