My scholars are drivers on the Math Track and as their Crew Chief it is my job to make sure all drivers are equipped on the track. By providing flexible seating it will allow my students to complete their intervention assignments in a comfortable seating. Flexible seating encourages students to find their best spot to stay calm, focused and productive. As a teacher it is important to see my classroom from my scholars point of view. Many of my students often become disengaged during my forty-five minute class period. However, with flexible seating my students with be comfortable thus making it easier for them to engage in mathematical learning. Although flexible seating does not factor into Math, creating a more inviting and scholar-centered atmosphere encourages scholars to engage in mathematics instruction.
