It is so important to have fun and exciting books available to students so that all kids can practice reading. Students will only enjoy reading if they have books available to them that they find appealing. The books I chose in this project will provide books for my earliest readers to use while they read during guided reading instruction, partner reading, and independent reading. All students need, and deserve, books to read at their reading level. Reading a huge part of first grade and a large part of the day revolves around literacy. Building basic literacy skills will help set students up for academic success as they go through school. This begins with having a large classroom library full of books for students to read. I am hoping to provide an inspiring library for my students through this project!
