The requested materials will serve as a starting point for a newly launched educational venture in our middle school. As 8th grade teachers working to prepare students for high school, we looked for ways to enrich understanding of core subjects without the stress of a traditional classroom. Our solution is a new series of small group electives related to core content. I will be teaching an introductory course about the structure (anatomy) and function (physiology) of the human body. Students will be learning about the various organ systems of the body and their inter-relatedness. The requested materials will give students the ability to visualize the various organs and organ systems without requiring access to advanced study materials such as anatomy models or cadavers.
