These materials allow students to better visualize their work and work through steps in computation. I use adhesive whiteboards daily in my classroom. It also allows me to efficiently help students understand errors in computation. Furthermore, these materials will also help instill the organizational piece that comes with productivity in learning. As a class we discuss the importance of organization and take the time to develop organizational tools that can be used throughout the year which will aide in their growth as learners. Binders, interactive notebooks, and flip charts are some of the strategies used to help students make better sense of their learning.
