Playing musical instruments is such a fun and exciting activity for kids. Unfortunately, not all of my students have the chance to play instruments with the rest of their class due to physical barriers such as limited mobility. These instruments and instrument accessories would make that possible for my students that use a wheelchair or that have limited use of their limbs. The bells can be played without even being picked up; the top of the handle can be pushed down to produce sound. The xylophone mallets are specially designed to be easier to grasp. The instrument mount can be attached to a wheelchair to make auxiliary percussion instruments (such as the chimes listed) much easier to play. With these new additions to our music classroom, I will have the ability to provide every student with the opportunity to fully participate in music class regardless of their mobility level.
