This project includes books for our classroom library because, unfortunately, our school library is only open one day per week. Research shows that students who read regularly do better in all of their classes, not just English, so my classroom library is positioning our students for excellence across the board. There are books at different lexile levels in the selections, because all it takes is one great book for a struggling reader to feel more confident, build skills, and keep on reading. That creates a positive feedback cycle for the student and for the classroom. The project also includes organizational supplies to help keep the room organized and moving smoothly to maximize impactful instructional time.
