During Guidance class, I often use storybooks as a tool in teaching my students social-emotional skills and about important character traits. I believe these skills, including responsibility, honesty, perseverance and getting along with others (to name a few!) are just as important as reading, writing and math. Each year, I try to add a few more books to my classroom library to read to my students during class time. Having a soft place for my students to sit and enjoy story time would be wonderful! Please help in providing my students with a cozy new classroom rug and a few new books for the school year!
