Having this assistive technology through the use of a touch screen helps children with fine motor complications access technology similar to peers without physical challenges. The touch screen provides access to the programs efficiently so they can keep pace with their peers who can efficiently use a mouse and or mouse pad. This physical limitation impacts confidence and educational access in some cases. Having a touch screens provides confidence in being and found things independently. This independence is empowing to these children that struggle with this physical challenge in every part of their life. Assistive technologies like this can make all the difference in a child's education and self-esteem!
