Please help me inspire a love of reading for my long term ELL students. With the right book students can open the door to a whole new world. These books were picked as a way to build a strong foundation of literacy, while also helping students fall in love with reading. Students who read books that they are able to connect with and comprehend will build strong vocabulary and comprehension skills. More than that, they will experience success that many have not experienced yet in school. Many of my students do not have someone at home to read with, or who encourages them to read. These books will be used as a way to make connections with my students throughout the summer, helping prevent summer slide and also building a connection with these students to support them in the coming school year.
