My students face enormous challenges in their daily life, yet they come to school excited and wanting to learn. Many of my students do not have print-rich home environments as both parents often work in this 50% Hispanic community. Many come to school knowing few letters and sounds. I am so fortunate to work with these students and to see each one blossom. Kindergarten is where children build a strong foundation for reading, writing, and math. Reading is required not only for the rest of their education but for the rest of their lives. It all begins with learning the letters and the sounds they make. This program uses 26 3D animals to really engage the students. The program is a great tool to use in the classroom and while teaching virtually.
