Questions! Each day I have questions that spring to mind and I want immediate answers. I am fortunate to have shelves of reference books as well as multiple internet-enabled devices at my disposal to quickly find those answers. My students are not as lucky, More than half of my 8th-grade students have no device to bring to class, and therefore, no way to quickly find the answer to those burning questions. Curiosity is vital to learning and understanding and it must not be silenced. My students need devices that they can use to quickly find answers to those burning questions they have. By donating to our project, you will not only help to increase student learning, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement through satisfying their natural desire to know "why" something is the way it is. With technology at their fingertips, students will be able to quickly research terms, ideas, and concepts in the moment, without the shame and stigma of not having a device.
