These books will help these students and future classes of children to have immediate and readily available literary materials to chose from. To develop and foster a true love of reading and of books, it has been shown that the skills of reading take time and practice. In order to practice they must have access to a variety of books and reading materials. With these books, the children will be able to choose their own levels and interest areas for independent reading time. During whole group reading workshop, the books will be used for individual lessons for both writing and reading instruction.
