The students in my classroom are young, creative, and LOVE to move! Each lesson I teach, for all content areas, my greatest challenge is finding a balance between the focused attention that is needed to access the content and the amount of movement that is required developmentally to make the lesson engaging and valuable. The materials listed in this project will help me to solve this problem and make a difference in my students' learning because each seating choice is specifically designed to allow children the movement they need while staying engrossed in the curriculum being taught. The resources listed in this project will help me to provide flexible seating for a diverse group of students. In addition to helping my students move to promote engagement the non-traditional furniture will also help students to improve posture, trunk control, and self-control!
