Math and Literacy are the most important areas for building an educational foundation. These supplies will allow students to create their own stories, understand math and literacy more efficiently, and seem themselves as the future leaders I know they are! In order to achieve this, I need to create a space that sparks imagination, inspires creativity, builds a collective community, and motivates mastery of skills! Math and literacy are possibly the most important elements to a strong educational foundation. Students will use manipulatives during our math sessions to grasp the concept of numbers and grouping them. On this list are word charts and phonics games. These items allow students to find fun in words, understand how they are created with the breakdown of its parts, and enhance their vocabulary. Other supplies like pencils, markers, folders, pencil sharpeners, paper, etc., are needed to provide all of my students with an equal opportunity for success. Students who are engaged and encouraged in the classroom are guaranteed to shoot for the stars in their educational journey. As a first year teacher, I am determined to give my students an academic experience they will never forget!
