These leveled reading books will give me the tools I need to teach guided reading groups at each student’s specific grade level. Putting these books in our classroom library will give my students bright, current, engaging books to inspire a desire to read instead of the second-hand, random-level books we currently have. The learning goals for my students are to leave the second grade on, or above, the second grade reading level. Most of them enter the second grade on or below a first grade reading level. These books will enable me to teach reading on the appropriate level with the right tools.
