Our books will be used to help our students build connections to their everyday lives as well as our curriculum. Fidgets will be used for calming, help with anxiety, provide sensory, decrease distractions and increase concentration. Desk tags will be used to assist students in remembering and learning basic skills. Birthday hats will be used to remind our students of just how special they really are to each and everyone of us. It is so important for us to build relationships with our students and show them that we care about them, not just there grades or test scores. The social skills book will be used to teach my students about everyday living, community, transportation, communication, and functioning in social environments. The calendar will be used to assist my students with keeping up with days of the weeks, months, weather, and holidays. Wall posters will be used around the classroom to motivate and remind students of helpful educational tools. Students will use the counting the days chart to assist with counting and identifying numbers.
