We know not all students learn the same way, at the same time, and in the same location. But why can't they be comfortable while learning at their own pace? I want each student to learn in their best environment. If that means bouncing on a ball or sitting on a pillow, then that is what needs to happen. Each child can choose the preferred seating that they think will help them focus the best. They can sit, stand, or bounce on the furniture as long as it helps to expand their learning. This gives the student a sense of ownership and responsibility of what helps them achieve the most out of class. Those that need to move more in class can do so without disturbing the others if they choose a band at their chair or any other piece of equipment that I have picked because each is low noise. With these items in my class, I feel that each child will have a better opportunity at academically achieving more than would if these items were absent in my class. I appreciate any help with achieving this goal for my kiddos!!
