Have you ever tried sitting in a desk all day? By the end of the day, your legs are cramped, your back aches and your focus lies not on the subject, but on your discomfort. My middle schoolers have growing bodies that are always shifting, tapping, and wiggling and I want to help them keep their focus on the learning instead of on the hard desk seat. Flexible seating options will keep students more engaged and less disruptive of their fellow classmates with the opportunity to sit on the floor with a lap desk, stools for collaborative table work, wiggle chairs for getting out all the ants in the pants and energy that bursts forth from them. These options help students work comfortably and collaboratively, preparing them for a future of working with colleagues. Help create a generation of learners as these materials will be used for years to come!
