Technology in the classroom is a big challenge for a school district with limited funding. One of my goals is to give my K-2 students their first experience with Chromebooks. The Chromebooks will help foster their love of reading with the wide range of educational Google Chromebook apps. I am extremely excited to introduce coding with Scratch Jr, Tynker, Code.org, etc. Coding is the new literacy! Students will use a visual block platform that teaches coding concepts while allowing students to build fun games with a lot of creative freedom. Students learn to solve problems, design projects, and creatively express themselves.
