By donating to this project, you will provide my students with a comfortable place to learn, laugh, and love. One rug will be for whole group instruction/sharing, while the other one will allow students to cozy up with a good book in a reading nook! In addition to the rugs, the storage cubes will be in my classroom library area as a place to store some good reads. Lastly, a classroom mailbox will ensure that each student has a spot for notices home and more importantly, their hard work. My goal this summer in preparing for my first ever classroom has been to make my room a truly comforting and calming atmosphere for my littles. I envision soft colors, fluffy pillows, and student work hung up on the walls. I want my kids to walk into their classroom and feel in their hearts that this is their second home. I have always been inspired by the saying: "Home is not a place, it's a feeling." Once you have that feeling, it is something you never forget.
