Many students come to school unprepared to interact socially and emotionally. They need extra support. I would love to give students access to social and emotional apps and online resources that can help them grow. This will also provide short breaks that are often needed by students who come from traumatic circumstances or have other mental health or medical needs. Several apps can be used in the classroom or at home to assist in reinforcing social and emotional learning while also helping kids cope with the pressures that we all face. These apps will help students with everything from anger management to emotional identification to meditation but not if they don't have an iPad.
