After attending a great STEM conference this summer, I am excited to bring a makers space area to my classroom. To build and create new things requires thinking and imagination as well as science and engineering. Students will use K'NEX and LEGOs as well as other things to build, create, evaluate, and improve. Students can learn coding and use robotics to enhance and reinforce the goals and standards set forth by the state. Technology is not just a computer screen. My vacuum is a robot! Students can also achieve science goals through working with Hotwheels cars and tracks. There are specific lessons geared to 4th grade available to help us all reach our potential(energy).
