When students begin each day with Morning Learning Tubs, they are able to enter the classroom with an open-mind and a ready-to-explore attitude! This may be one the best times of the day for many of my first graders. They will explore these morning tubs after they unpack for 20 minutes. They will work together to build/draw/examine/discuss through exploration of the materials. Students will rotate on a daily basis so they will visit all of the morning tubs through out the week. When it is time to clean up, my students most often do not want to stop! Morning tub time has provided more social/exploration skill than I ever could have imagined!
