Through the funding of this project, students in my classroom will be able to take home books at their appropriate reading level each week. These take-home pouches will be used as take-home "book bags" containing on level books in hopes to encourage a love for reading, build strong reading habits, and improve fluency. From experience, I know that not all children have access to reading materials at home. Through this program, I hope to encourage my students to begin an at-home reading routine that they will continue to practice and love for the rest of their lives. Every child deserves the opportunity to be a strong reader!
