A modern day classroom isn't all desks and chairs. Flexible seating meets the physiological and safety needs of students. Since they are more comfortable with their seating position, they are more likely to collaborate and engage in learning. As a first-year teacher, I am keen on getting students to collaborate and actively own their learning. Having cushions for the floor to form campfires of discussion will help students to become more comfortable in my classroom environment. My biggest and greatest thanks to you and your time in advance. Even if it's just your time reading this you made a difference!
