I am requesting a carpet for my students to have a nice, big space to sit. My students love to read independently, have class discussions, and listen to great books together. They love partner talk and being away from their seats to sit on the floor, but the floor isn’t exactly the most comfortable spot in our classroom. This carpet will ensure that none of them will have to be uncomfortable on a cold, hard floor anymore. Coming together as a class creates better opportunities for students to improve their communication and listening skills. My hope is that this space will add more comfort while learning. It will benefit my students greatly and will provide them with a nice area to think, interact, and grow.
