Last week, I was lucky enough to visit the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. There, I was able to speak to wonderful and dedicated educators. After seeing how well-spoken, kind, and professional their learners were, I was ready to take in anything these educators were willing to share with me! As you walk the halls of RCA, you hear music, chanting, and the beat of Djembe drums that will make anyone feel like dancing. Every classroom has a welcoming environment that engages students from the minute they walk into the room. We are requesting a a Djembe drum that will help to create an energetic and lively learning environment. These Djembe drums will assist students in focusing on the lesson and it will help to excite the energy in the room. This drum will be placed in the hands of a student who needs assistance staying focused. The student will be tasked to beat the drum whenever students clap, a joke is made, or a chant is being sung. I have seen first-hand what these drums can do for a classroom environment and I'm ready to transform my teaching!
