Coding activities allow for an in-depth study into a specific content area. Students are able to apply their skills in a way that is relevant in today's world. Last year we were able to use one Ozobot for our classroom, and the level of engagement was out of this world! Having tools like coding robots and snap circuits will not only boost overall engagement, but also allow my students to collaborate and problem solve all while working on academic content. We know that the jobs of the future will focus more and more on technology. Allowing these 10-12 year olds the opportunity to explore technology in a safe, controlled setting will hopefully instill in them a lifelong love of technology and science inquiry.
