The puzzles will be used at the rectangular table, or on the carpet.The students will learn how to share, give and take ideas and suggestions. Taking turns is also a part of sharing a puzzle which is critical in the life of a four or five year old child. At this stage of their life it is all about them. Additionally, the shape puzzles and LEGOs will help develop their mathematical skills as they manipulate shapes, colors and can also work on addition and subtraction. What I hope my students gain from making these puzzles is their critical thinking skills. A skill that is needed not only now as young children but one that should be fostered and grown because of its use in adulthood.
