Working with limited resources, I am requesting manipulatives for hands-on teaching and learing in a new and exciting way for these students. Colorful counters and visual representations on the board can help peak interest in a child who otherwise would get lost looking at a diagram in a larger classroom. Drawing the students in with engaging materials is the first step to helping them learn hands on. The flexible seating that is being requested will help my learners who need to be moving and out of their seat without disturbing other students in the small group. They can subtly rock or wiggle and bounce on their seats to get out their extra energy.
