Kindergartners need to all be able to get their hands on learning materials to fully participate in learning. Without a tangible, immediate way to participate, young learners may not fully apply new skills. We use whiteboards almost every day in both language arts and math so that all students can show and share their thinking. Having physical letters that they are able to physically manipulate will help guide the choices of learners who are just starting out on their literacy journey placing an emphasis on the function of the letters and not just their formation. Donation to this project goes directly into the hands of students. It will help to increase not only their focus and participation but also the amount of feedback they receive as they make their thinking visible.
