I teach twenty-seven fifth graders, ages 10-11, who come to school each day excited to learn! My students are an active and social bunch who work hard in all they do! This year, many of my students have a difficult time refraining from distracting themselves and those around them. They love talking and moving, and their ability to remain focused has been directly impacted by the COVID pandemic. They have a lot of big emotions about how the past year and a half has affected their lives, and I see it come out in their ability to remain focused. I know that flexible seating such as wobble stools and wobble cushions will help my students get their wiggles out without distracting those around them. These flexible seating options will help them remain focused while fulfilling their desire for movement.
