A classroom library will give my students access to a wide variety of books that will increase their love of reading. This is my first year as a second grade teacher and I want to give my students the best opportunity to become strong, passionate readers. I plan to use these books during carpet reading as a whole class, partner reading through reading buddies, and independent reading in my library corner. With a wide variety of books that meets the interests of each individual, students will have the opportunity to improve their literacy skills and grow more confident as readers.
