First year teaching, first DonorsChoose.org project! Help me build a classroom library that my students will enjoy for years to come. Adding diverse texts outside of curriculum-based reading to aid in literacy development. Having a diverse and expansive classroom library allows students the opportunity and choice to read something that they personally enjoy. Students can read books that interest them while developing their proficiency in literature. Building a classroom library that helps encompass many different interests and genres stands to benefit readers of all abilities. All in all, I want to give students the chance to love reading on their own terms!
