Students will investigate variables such as fertilizer effect on plant growth, they will use clipboards to collect data, markers and others supplies to post results to show their families and our local community how a school garden is a great way to get children to learn about nutrition. My goal is to promote real world skills, while having fun learning how to maintain a garden using the necessary skills such as teamwork. Our students will have multi-curricular, year-round, hands-on learning activities using a garden as an outdoor classroom which perfectly encourages our goals to help students, school staff and families make the connection between growing food and good diets, develop life skills and increase environmental awareness.
