The materials for this project will help organize the student and communicate to the parents the progress their child is making in the steps to reading. I send home folders with letters, sounds, and sight words attached so when I test a student the parent and child know their immediate progress. The folders house the progress sheets as well as the daily book I send home for them to read. At the end of each week I test the skills and the child is excited to see what they have learned (as well as the parent). The dry erase markers are used for a variety of writing activities from practicing letters to writing words and sentences. The plastic outer folder can double as an organizer as well as a writing media.
