My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of different areas and skills to work towards in the classroom. I will use these materials to incorporate fun and games while learning math. The games and manipulatives give students opportunities to explore fundamental number concepts, such as the counting sequence, one-to-one correspondence, and computation strategies. These engaging mathematical games can also encourage students to explore number combinations, place value, patterns, and other important mathematical concepts. Students will be able to experience mind-body developing as well as hands-on, real-world experiences of challenges and switch-ups.
