The use of technology in the classroom allows students to keep up with the current findings for SCIENCE, MATHEMATICS, and current events. World news is essential for a global view to engage students. Therefore access to the use of computers is a must. Since the students are English language learners they will need to be exposed to visual explanations. I play CNN10 for the students. CNN10 is above their grade level. However, It motivates them to keep up with the news. They will also be able to listen to steps for mathematical problems, watch scientific findings, and enjoy virtual field trips. Our school is presently trying to implement NearPod, which is a program that requires students to use codes to log into computer-based lessons and participate using their personal devices. It would be grand if the children would have accessibility to iPads or electronic notebooks.
