The most important part of this project is the interactive projector. I would love to have this tool in my classroom for lessons! Currently, I cannot interact with my projections at all. This means that when I am projecting a lesson I have to walk all the way to the back of the classroom any time that I want to go to the next page, click a link, or enter text. This wastes valuable class time and interrupts the flow of a lesson. This also limits what I can do creatively with lessons. The addition of this interactive projector would make it so that I can write on any projection and click anything I need to without leaving the front of the classroom. This would help to manage our valuable learning time and keep everyone on task. The other items on my list include some odds and ends that are needed to finish up preparing my first classroom. The pencil sharpener, whiteboards, and timer all contribute to an effective learning environment. I love the idea of every student having a whiteboard so that they can quickly work out problems without wasting a ton of paper. The timer will be used daily so that students can learn time management skills and maximize their school day.
