During daily independent reading, we will use the whisper phones to help develop fluency. This crucial at this foundational grade level (first). We will use these "phones" to help us hear ourselves and keep the noise level to a minimum. We will use the comfy flexible seating cushions to make best use of our small space so that we can pick a special place around our room to concentrate and focus on our reading. These items not only support reading and fluency, but they also promote responsibility and independence of taking care of ourself and others so that we can "help our brains grow!"

About my class
